Before I came to know the Lord
when someone said they were praying for me
I took it to mean that they saw a deficiency in me
I didn’t really think it made much difference
if they prayed for me or not
because I had fallen short of pleasing God...
Worry W.A.R.T.
Worry Absolutely Ruins Today
Now I see where the saying worry wart comes from
it dawned on me as I awoke
worry takes the steam out of your engine
the wind out of your sails
and certainly affects the level
of confidence necessary to make good choices
it pours a poison through our systems
and they just don’t run as well...
Wings of Love
As I sit looking out my bedroom window
I see first the beauty of the stream
full and rich, clean and flowing in the direction
it has been ordained to travel
and the birds flying from here to there
refreshed and hungry after the long rain
and the landscape has become green and budded
little flowers catch my eye
new every day...
