YOUR PRAYERS MEAN SO MUCH TO ME
Before I came to know the Lord
when someone said they were praying for me
I took it to mean that they saw a deficiency in me
I didn’t really think it made much difference
if they prayed for me or not
because I had fallen short of pleasing God
that there was no real hope for my anyway
and now, as I walk in the gospel of peace,
born again and set apart,
when my friend tells me she is praying for me
I light up like a sky full of stars
I am so appreciative
that she sees fit
to petition the King of Kings, the
Lord of Lords
on my behalf.
I am more grateful
than she will ever know
that she chooses not to worry about me
but to pray
that she doesn’t give me advice
but instead goes to God
and asks Him to set me free
from the little cloud
that hovers over me
she washes me in the Blood of Jesus
instead of putting me through the wringer
of her own judgment
and it means so very much to me
for I know with the faith
of a few good friends
I have faith that I will soon be
set completely free.
Thanks be to God
for sending my friends
who love me
and lift me up
in their prayers.
I shout hallelujah
all Glory to God.
