The Way is our theme for the 2026 40 Days of Prayer

Each year, Promise Bible Study offers a 40-day devotional series leading up to Resurrection Day, and Passover.
We do this to ready our hearts for what the Lord has prepared for us – in unity with our brothers and sisters in Christ.

The intent is to meditate on the written Word - our treasure of God’s promises, instruction and truth. 
Let us ponder the Word together as the Holy Spirit enlightens our minds, illuminates the text and guides us in prayer.

When Christ is our center, Scripture our guide and discipleship our focus,
THE WAY becomes more than a phrase. It becomes a daily invitation.
To follow Jesus is to begin each day intentionally choosing His path again:

- to walk where He walks

- to love how He loves

- to trust His direction

- to follow where He leads.

This is THE WAY of every heart that longs to follow Jesus.

O sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth!

As a freshman in college, my fellow students liked to comment that I would get
more done by 11:00 am than they would the entire day.
Years later, a friend would urge – take a moment to just be:
You are a human being not a human doing.
I do, in fact, greatly appreciate when a project is DONE – all caps and bold.

On reflection, I am learning the JOY of just being…

 In His presence,
In the Word,
In a one-on-one relationship with Jesus, Abba, the great I AM.
To Abide in Him.

Learning to abide in the Lord has given us a New Song:

- To sing of His love and steadfast faithfulness
- To praise His divine name and character
- To glorify His name - the NAME above all names.
