God-Given Gifts
1 Peter 4:10-11: Each of you has received a gift to use to serve others. Be good servants of God’s various gifts of grace. Anyone who speaks should speak words from God.
Indeed, as the verse above states, we receive gifts to bless and help each other, and to be a steward of that gift, for our Father, Creator of all things bright and beautiful, wise and wonderful.
On this PBS website, we have creative work by two members: Julie Evans, a writer and Liz Dieleman, a songwriter. Both artists use their God-given gifts to bring Him honor and glory. Julie published a memoir of her journey to the Lord, and Liz got to record a worship record with her father, who is also a songwriter. Praise the Lord for these opportunities to witness, and delight in His blessings.
If you have any praise reports regarding the gifts and talents the Lord has blessed you with, please share with our community! Send to: promisebiblestudy.com.
On This Day
On this day
that the Lord
hath made
I shall rise
aware
of the victory won
in His mighty Name.
I shall go forth
covered by the Blood
of the Lamb
knowing full well
that I am His,
and therefore
entitled to all
His inheritance.
No foul thing
has a right
to my thoughts,
my body, or
my emotions.
I will fill my mind
with the Name of God
I will count it all joy
for I know any fire
is not to frighten me
or burn me,
for God uses all things for good.
These fires are fires
of purification
to melt away the dross
so I can step forth
as gold
on this day.
I put on the full armor of God
I walk in love
I dwell in the secret place
of the Most High
I sing praises unto You Lord
for You have given me life
that I might have all things
for surely, as I walk this narrow path
all things will be added unto me
in Your glorious Name.
I love You Jesus
I dedicate this day to You
I lift my hands in praise
I raise my voice in honor
I lift my chin in glory
I step forth in peace
I extend my hand in love
I use my lips to confess
that You are Lord God Almighty
I fall to my knees in thanksgiving
I use these instruments
that You have given me
carefully and wisely
knowing how powerful they are
I thank You Lord
for this day
for this day is unique and special
unlike any other
I will concern myself only
with the things of this day
for it deserves and demands
I be present in it,
for when I am here
You are with me,
and this day
I want to spend
with You.
