31 Days of Praise Day 29

"I'll do the Heavy Lifting"

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
(1 Peter 5:7)

"Thank You that I can throw the whole weight of my anxieties on You, for I am Your personal concern."
(Ruth Myers, "31 Days of Praise, Day 29 p105)

Thank You, Lord
That You have strong hands and broad shoulders.
You already know all that weighs upon my heart,
And You are capable of lifting anything that burdens me.
(Matthew 11:30) (Psalm 95:4)

How much easier it is to get out of bed,
To face my daily tasks,
To dive into challenge,
Knowing that You are right there with me.
Knowing that You pre-ordained these occurrences for me,
For my growth, for my reliance on You.
(2 Corinthians 12:9-10)

I used to be filled with anxiety,
Now I am filled with Your Spirit.
I used to feel life slipping through my fingers,
Now I know that life is in Your grasp.
(Ephesians 3:16)

People say to me,
"You're doing so well under the circumstances!"
My hope, my strength, my endurance comes from the Lord!
(Philippians 4:13)

Praise the Lord for giving me patience, tranquility, courage, and peace.
All things are possible through Him, therefore, I need not wonder about any outcome.
(Matthew 19:26)

Heavy Lifting

By Dale Alan Dieleman

When I was a boy, I loved to help my dad.

Tried to lift his heavy tools, I gave it all I had.

Then he’d see me struggle, He knew just what to do

Son you’re my big helper, Let me carry that for you.

(He said,) I’ll do. I’ll do. I will do the heavy lifting

So now the years have gone. How fast they slip away.

I tried to live by my own rules, But it never works that way.

I getting so weary now, I keep things to my chest.

Then the Lord comes and says, My Son, give it all a rest.

(He said,) I’ll do. I’ll do. I will do the heavy lifting

There nothing the Lord can’t do, No burden he can’t lift

So cast your cares upon him, that’s his holy gift

He never lets you struggle, with more than you can bear

So in your weakness reach right out, Cause he is always there.

(He said,) I’ll do. I’ll do. I will do the heavy lifting
