Jesus
“She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” – Matthew 1:21
Jesus comes from the Hebrew Word, Yeshua, where it means “the Lord saves or God is Salvation.”
How can you praise the name of Jesus? Here is one take away suggestion using the acronym of JESUS.
Justifier, I thank You, Jesus, that I do not have to work today to be accepted by You. I can simply live in the grace that has made me pure and lovely in Your sight.
Emmanuel, I praise You, Jesus, that no matter how I feel, You are always with me.
Strength of My Soul, I adore You, Jesus, that Your power is wonderfully demonstrated in my weaknesses and limitations. You are my Strength, Jesus!
Unchanging Friend, I celebrate You, Jesus, for how You never give up pursuing me. Therefore, I rest securely in Your always reliable love and commitment to me.
Savior, I worship You, Jesus, as the One who saved my soul from death and sin. I worship You because You died the death that I deserved and gave me the life that I could never live. You did this all because You are the Savior of the World - my Savior.
