31 Days of Praise! Day 11

Great is Thy Faithfulness!

Praise be to the Lord, who has given rest to his people Israel just as he promised. Not one word has failed of all the good promises he gave through his servant Moses.
(1 Kings 8:56)

"Thank You for giving us priceless promises, great beyond measure, promises that apply to Your work in me, in my loved ones, in my situation, in my service, and in the whole world. Not a single word of Your good promises as ever failed."
(Ruth Myers, "31 Days of Praise", p 108)

Lord, You have established Your covenant with us,
Through your servant Abraham,
That is everlasting.
You promised to be our God,
And You have never forsaken us.
(Genesis 17:7) (Deuteronomy 31:6)

We humans have trust issues,
Because other humans let us down.
We break promises, we go back upon our word...
But You never do, Lord God!
Thank You for being a solid foundation,
A benchmark for truth and trust!
We know that when all else fails,
You never will.
(2 Timothy 2:19) (Psalm 136)

Lord, how beautifully You communicate with Your creation!
You gave us these promises so that we may participate in Your divine nature,
So that our path was lighted, so that we were filled with Your very essence!
How grateful we are! How precious are You to us, Lord God!
(2 Peter 1: 3&4) (Psalm 119:105) (John 16:7-8)

Indeed, truly You will always be our God when Your Spirit dwells within us!
(1 Corinthians 6:16/2 Corinthians6:16)

What a fulfillment of all Your Promises is Jesus Christ!
How could we doubt for one second that You truly are our salvation,
When you have gone to such great lengths to demonstrate this promise?
What knowledge and foresight You have, O Lord! How wise You are in Your administration!
From that promise with Abraham, You had Jesus on His way!
(Isaiah 12:2) (Psalm 27:1) (Galatians 4:4-6) (Romans 4:16) (Galatians 3:16)

Master Jesus, You are perfect in all Your ways!
When You speak, we know for certain Your Words resound in absolute truth!
How delightful it is to rest confidently in Your Words, Your Promises!

“I can guarantee this truth: Those who believe in me will do the things that I am doing.
They will do even greater things because I am going to the Father.
I will do anything you ask the Father in my name so that the Father will be given glory because of the Son.
If you ask me to do something, I will do it."
(John 14:12-14)

When You tell us that You, Lord of the Universe, promise to do what I ask in Your name,
I tremble at the magnificence of what this means!
Your words are a gift beyond measure - that through You, we will do what You have done - and greater!
Jesus, help me to understand this promise fully, that I can participate in the completeness of Your promises,
As you intended them. May we be great for You, in You, with You, Lord Jesus!

Amen!

PRAISE REPORT!
The Lord is Reliable: A Miraculous Turn of Events

I have been involved in a court custody case. We'd been stuck at an impasse for almost a year. We were facing trial, which I did not want to enter because of the destruction I knew it would cause in our family on so many levels. God's timing was perfect: just when I was the most anxious about the case, I started the 40 Day Prayer Commitment. This "forced" me to be in the Word every day, and I got deeper into and more comfortable with my daily prayers. I even felt convicted to fast, focusing on God's promises, and I surrendered the situation into His hands, something I had not done at the beginning when the whole issue started; instead I acted from fear and sought the wisdom of human advocates, friends and legal advisors. I'm not saying that's wrong, but the focus was not on the Lord, so I missed out on His faithfulness and was fearing the paths in front of me rather than knowing God would help me walk down one in confidence.

As the trial date approached, rather than being filled with fear, I was filled with more reliance on the Lord. I knew He was with me and my child. He revealed to me answers through my prayer and fasting, and I took a chance and spoke those revelations, in His name, to my ex, who is not a believer. Within a matter of weeks, the entire dynamic began to shift. In fact, a miracle happened: his lawyer started looking out for me, and began agreeing with my concerns, validating my position on the matter which caused the impasse. This caused my ex to soften around the matter and finally recognized my truth in ease and graciousness. We ended up working TOGETHER with his lawyer and in 48 hours, drafted an agreement that felt comfortable to both of us.

After a year of fear, stress, and uncertainty, the issue was settled, the very day before the trial. The judge signed off on our agreement. Praise the Lord for his steadfastness! Praise Him for peace of mind, for allowing us to rest in Him, and for His unfaltering faithfulness. Truly miracles happen when we have faith, and surrender our situations completely into His wise, firm hands.
