Name: JEHOVAH-SEL’I - Rock
Prayer and Meditation:
“Oh come, let us sing to the LORD, let us make a joyful noise to the Rock of our salvation.” Psalm 95:1.
We enter this psalm with an invitation to celebrate the LORD and His wondrous works with praise and thanksgiving. The imagery of the rock is repeated throughout the psalms as a representation of the Lord’s power in saving and delivering His people. He is the Rock of our salvation, the basis of our hope and confidence. We can rest securely in His strength.
Let us rejoice in hope, being patient in tribulation, encouraging each other with our faith in You the Rock of our Salvation. Amen.
It is good to give thanks to the LORD, to sing praises to your name, O Most High, to declare your steadfast love in the morning and your faithfulness by night, to the music of the lute and the harp, to the melody of the lyre. For you, O LORD, have made me glad by your work; at the works of your hands I sing for joy…to declare that the LORD is upright; he is my rock. There is no unrighteousness in him. Psalm 92: 1 to 4 and 15.
