Day 31: El Sali

El Sali is the Hebrew name for God meaning, “the Lord is my strength or God my rock or my fortress”. In the Psalms, David spoke these words when the Lord delivered him from the hands of all his enemies, including Saul:

I love You fervently and devotedly, O Lord, my Strength. - Psalm 18:1.

God is our Refuge and Strength [mighty and impenetrable to temptation], a very present and well-proved help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change and though the mountains be shaken into the midst of the seas, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling and tumult. - Psalm 46:1-3.

The rock of Mount Sinai was the place that God met with Man, spoke with man, and wrote the tablets of stone; the rock in the desert gave forth the water the Israelites needed for survival. Jesus is the Rock. He meets with you, talks to you, and is everything you need for survival. Glory be to God!
