Welcome to promise bible study’s 2025

40 days of prayer

Each year, Promise Bible Study offers a 40-day devotional series leading up to Resurrection Day, and Passover.
We do this to ready our hearts for what the Lord has prepared for us – in unity with our brothers and sisters in Christ.

The intent is to meditate on the written Word - our treasure of God’s promises, instruction and truth. 
Let us ponder the Word together as the Holy Spirit enlightens our minds, illuminates the text and guides us in prayer.

ABIDE is our theme for the PBS 2025 40-days of Prayer.

As a freshman in college my fellow students liked to comment that I would get more done by 11:00 am than they would the entire day.
Years later a friend would urge – take a moment to just be - you are a human being not a human doing. 
I do, in fact, greatly appreciate when a project is DONE – all caps and bold. 

On reflection, I am learning the JOY of just being…

In His presence,

In the Word,

In a one-on-one relationship with Jesus, Abba, the great I AM.

To Abide in Him.

In learning to ABIDE the Lord has given us a New Song:

to sing of His steadfast love and faithfulness
to praise His divine nature and character
to glorify His name - the NAME above all names

“You Are” is my morning song;
a song of worship to our Heavenly Father for His glory and joy.
